Chief Marketing + Communications Officer

Anna del Rio Chong is the chief marketing + communications officer at The Making Marketing + Communications, an integrated marketing and communications firm based in Miami, FL. With more than 25 years of experience in various industries, Anna manages all media and community relations, advertising, fundraising, social media, executive profiling, and events for her clients. Her client industry experience includes food/beverage, media/entertainment, hospitality, non-profit, retail, real estate, automotive, marine manufacturing, and corporate communications. She is an award-winning marketer, with several of her campaigns recognized with a PRSA Silver Anvil, the PRSA Award of Excellence, the HPRA BRAVO Integrated Marketing Campaign of the Year, and a Communicator Award of Excellence.

In addition to her professional work, Anna is a passionate community leader. She has actively served on the board of directors for Friends of St. Jude Miami as the communications chair raising funds locally for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Anna has also served on the board of directors for The WOW Center Miami, an organization providing quality programs and support to individuals with developmental disabilities so they can lead meaningful and productive lives. Additionally, she has contributed to Amigos For Kids, Autism Speaks, and other charitable causes.

Anna’s most important roles are that of a loving mother and wife. Her three kids attend Florida State University, Archbishop Coleman Carroll and Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, where she has served on the Home and School Association as ‘head homeroom mother’ and led several of the school and church fundraising activities alongside her husband, Frank for the past 23 years.

She graduated from Florida International University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management, Public Relations, and a minor in Public Speaking.
